Business meeting with digital tablet

Let’s face it. Most people put off buying life insurance for a number of reasons – if they even understand taking a look at this list – do any of them sound like you?

1. It is too expensive.

In the ever growing budgets of young families, things like day care and car payments and student loans may take a good chunk of money every month, and many people think that life insurance is located right outside of their “needs” when money is tight. But two things: life insurance is often not nearly as expensive as you might think, especially when you can get a good policy for less than the cost of a daily cup of coffee at the local cafe, and well, if money is tight right now, what if something happens to you?

2. It’s that stuff for babies and parents, right?

People of a certain age remember Ed McMahon grandparents telling them they can not refuse for any reason and figure target demographic for life insurance. Or, you may have been offered a permanent insurance policy for your baby is small, attractively presented with a plump baby in an envelope. The truth of the matter is that this is an insurance product that is very specific-only because there are a lot of insurance products to adults in their working years.

3. I am strong and healthy!

You eat right, stay active and everyone marveled at how grounded and centered you are. You passed the last physical with flying colors! That is good! But you’re not immortal indestructible. It’s not even that something could happen to you – although it could be-so much as when you are strong and healthy, there’s no better time to get a policy to protect your loved ones. If you are seriously ill or suffer significant injury then, it will make it more difficult to get that kind of policy, if any at all.

4. I have life insurance through my job.

Many people who offer insurance as part of employee benefits coverage them- and often, it was the first time they met life insurance and does not know that the policy of $ 50,000, or one or two times their salaries are not as much as they thought it was. Sounds like a lot of money, until you figure that has covered some or all of the costs for your loved ones in your absence. Plus, if you leave your job, it is usually a type of insurance that is not “proceed” with you.

5. I do not have children.

Of course, children are a big reason why some people get life insurance. But it is not a litmus only need protection. If anyone in your life who will suffer financial losses you – your spouse or partner to stay, relatives, even your parents – a life insurance policy goes a long way in making sure everyone is OK even if something happens to you.

6. insurance-it’s on my list … eventually.

There is no time limit on life insurance, there is no mandate from the government on the purchase. Your parents may have never talked to you about the importance, and it is certainly not the most refreshing topic for conversation. But do not let your “finally” be the one you love ‘ “If only.”

If all this sounds scary, just know that you can talk to an agent – no charge. They will help you know how much you might need, and also find a policy that fits your budget.
